This website is a static page with no tracking pixels and no advertising. To understand how it is used, it runs Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. If you allow it in the cookie banner, it also runs Google Analytics, which does set cookies. Until you allow it, nothing from Google loads. They tell us which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and whether someone opened or completed a booking. We use this to improve the site, not to advertise to you.
You share personal data with us directly only by choosing to email us or to book a call.
"Data Fiduciary", "Data Principal" and "Data Processor" have the meanings given in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.
We are not a Significant Data Fiduciary and are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. The contact above is the person who answers data questions.
Our host records standard technical logs when a page is served. These typically include your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page.
Purpose: operating the site, diagnosing faults, and protecting against abuse and attack. Legal basis: legitimate use under Section 7 of the DPDP Act. Retention: as retained by our host, typically no more than 30 days.
If you email janardhan@operantra.com or any address at this domain, we receive and store your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write.
Purpose: replying to you and, if we work together, running that engagement. Legal basis: your consent in choosing to write to us, and thereafter performance of our engagement. Retention: for the duration of our correspondence or engagement and for 8 years afterwards, to meet tax and limitation-period requirements.
"Book a call" opens a scheduling window run by Cal.com. If you book, you give your name, your email address, the time you chose and anything you write in the notes. Cal.com collects these for us and sends us the booking.
Purpose: arranging and holding the call, and following up on it. Legal basis: your consent in choosing to book. Retention: as for email (3.2).
Google Analytics 4 runs only if you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner. Until then it is not loaded at all. Once you allow it, your browser loads a script from Google that records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your device type, browser, screen size and approximate location (city level, derived from your IP address), and a few site events: opening the booking window, completing a booking, and unlocking the access gate. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. It recognises a returning browser through the cookies listed in 3.5, and we have not enabled Google signals, advertising features or user-ID tracking.
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. Visitors are not identified, and it cannot follow you across sites or between days.
Purpose: understanding which parts of the site are read and whether it leads to conversations. Legal basis: for Google Analytics, your consent, given in the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it (3.5). Vercel Web Analytics identifies no one, so it runs without asking. Retention: Google Analytics event data is kept for 2 months, Google's default, and is then deleted. Reports keep only aggregated figures after that.
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics, set only after you allow it. A random ID that tells one browser's visits apart. Kept up to 2 years.__gateStrictly necessary. Remembers that you entered the access passcode while the site is private. Kept 30 days. Contains no personal data.Changing your mind. Use Cookies (also in every page footer) to bring the banner back. If you choose "No thanks" after allowing, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and nothing more is sent. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without the Google Analytics ones. You can also install Google's opt-out add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We use a small number of service providers. They act as our processors and may store data outside India.
Transfers outside India. These providers process data on servers outside India. Section 16 of the DPDP Act permits transfer outside India except to territories the Central Government restricts by notification. We will stop transferring to any territory that is so restricted.
This policy covers this website only.
When we build software for a client, any personal data inside that software belongs to the client. In that arrangement the client is the Data Fiduciary and we act only as a Data Processor on their documented instructions, under a separate data processing agreement. We do not use client data for our own purposes, and we do not use it to train models.
If you are an individual whose data sits in a system we built for a business, your rights are exercisable against that business, not against us. We will assist them in answering you. If you don't know who to contact, write to us and we will point you to the right party.
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email janardhan@operantra.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we don't disclose data to the wrong person.
Please raise it with us first — most things are quicker to fix directly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India established under the DPDP Act.
We keep reasonable security safeguards appropriate to a business of our size: access to email and hosting is protected by strong unique credentials and two-factor authentication; devices are encrypted; access is limited to those who need it, which today means one person.
No safeguard is perfect. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you without delay and report it to the Data Protection Board within the timeframe the Rules require.
If we change this policy we will update the version and effective date above. Material changes will be flagged on this page for a reasonable period.
